Question about deviation chart for Dealer Hits Soft 17, 6 Deck.
I found a chart on the internet which has incorrect deviation numbers, and I followed that chart playing for a week.
Can someone tell me the the 100% accurate deviation numbers for this rule: 6 Deck, Dealer hits on soft 17, DOA, No Surrender.
The book I'm using is "Professional Blackjack" by Stanford Wong, but some deviation numbers are different from the source I found on the internet, so I'm not sure which one is correct.
Most of deviation numbers I can make sure, but some of them I'm not sure.
Please help me to check the accuracy of the deviation numbers above.
Which one is correct?
Please let me know.
Quote: WangSanJose I messed up my last counting trip due to the deviation chart accuracy problem.

Your first line is kind of curious.
You do know that the expected value of any one of these plays is very small.
Worth pennies or fractions of pennies, depending on your betting levels.
All of these plays occur pretty infrequently.
If you are slightly off on when you make them, or even don't make most of these plays, it would have very minimal effect on your results.
To think that your results from your last trip would be any different based on how you made these plays is erroneous.
I play BJ full-time, upwards of 80,000 rounds per year, and I only concern myself with 7 of these 12 index plays.
I only play about 30 index plays total.
The truth is once you get above the top 20-25 index plays, they really add very little to your EV, especially playing a 6 deck game.
If you make the index play at slightly the wrong time, or not at all, it costs you a fraction of a cent.
You are basically chasing pennies and not even full pennies, but fractions of a penny, when you should be chasing dollars.
Concentrate more on bet spread and ramp, playing the best games you can find and getting out of at least some of the negative counts and you will add far greater value to your EV and bottom line than worrying about making a certain play at a true count of +4 or +5.
As for the discrepancy in index numbers from different sources, you have to understand that there is a precise number for when each play becomes advantageous.
Standing 16 vs 9, for example.
Maybe that precise number of when this play becomes advantageous is 4.
https://juegoenelmundo.com/blackjack/wizard-odds-blackjack-strategy.html some sources might say to blackjack strategy chart dealer hits on soft 17 at +5, because a TC of +4 has not technically reached the advantageous threshold point, while others sources might round off down and say to stand at +4.
Doing it either way will have almost zero effect on your bottom line.
Your expected value will change by a thousandth of a penny or two.
If you feel the need to find the exact number for each index play for each game you play, you can do so with computer software I recommend Mr Wattenberger's Qfit products.
But really just pick a pretty reliable source and you will be fine.
Stanford Wong's PB, certainly falls into that category.
Just say no to 6:5 Blackjack, Continuous shuffle machines and Blackjack blackjack strategy chart dealer hits on soft 17 Forum.
All blackjack strategy chart dealer hits on soft 17 Negative expected value.
Thank you very much to reply!
What I want is the exact number for each index play.
Like if I got the number is 4.
I know it will only improve a little of EV, but I have the effort to do that.
I tried CVCX but didn't found the exact number.
Does anybody know the exact number?
I messed up my last trip because I didn't win much, but still won.
Another question, due to the fact that the blackjack strategy chart dealer hits on soft 17 edge learn more here 0.
I thought every TC worth 0.
Here is the thing.
The minuate you are worrying about, while interesting academically, adds almost no value in the real world of playing blackjack.
The rules you quoted above aren't great.
In most areas of the country you should be able to fine a Stand on soft 17 game.
You seem like a smart person based on the technical nature of your questions.
Good luck to you.
I fully understand blackjack strategy chart dealer hits on soft 17 u guys just told me, and I appreciate that.
This is the best rule near my home, I would go to Vegas on big vacations, but not on weekend.
Reno isn't good enough.
I got a partner, and we are going to this nearest casino recently.
And I've already mastered Hi-Lo long time ago.
Therefore, my effort is FREE, so I want to learn something I don't know, not basic concepts.
Quote: WangSanJose do you know when should I raise my bet?
Why don't you use the optimal bet amounts provided by CVCX?
